Recently, the temperature has generally dropped, and it is about to enter the winter, and the bulldozer, as an outdoor construction machinery and equipment, has its special requirements for working in a low temperature environment. Below, we introduce the precautions for the use of HAITUI bulldozers in winter from five aspects.
Engine oil
1. The engine can work normally, and the role of oil is crucial, which can lubricate, cool, clean, seal, reduce noise of the engine, etc. However, when the oil viscosity increases at low temperature, the fluidity decreases, resulting in a long cold start time, increasing engine wear, and seriously affecting the engine performance, so it is necessary to replace the appropriate grade of engine oil in time according to the ambient temperature. First of all, we need to understand the meaning of the engine oil model, such as 5W-30, "W" is the abbreviation of Winter, the smaller the number in front of the "W", the better the fluidity of the oil at low temperatures, and it can better protect the engine in severe cold. The higher the number after the "W", it means that the oil can still maintain a high kinematic viscosity at 100°C, which can better lubricate the engine at high temperatures.

Diesel oil
Diesel oil in the low temperature environment viscosity increases, poor fluidity, easy to wax, clog fuel pipelines, poor atomization, resulting in the engine can not start, easy to stall when working, etc. Therefore, in a low-temperature environment, light diesel oil with dilute viscosity and low freezing point should be selected. Generally, the freezing point of diesel should be lower than the local current season temperature of 7~10 °C.
2.Coolant
Coolant is also an integral part of the engine, specifically anti-freeze, anti-boiling and anti-corrosion. The coolant added by the Liugong bulldozer when it leaves the factory can work normally in the environment of -30°C, and for the equipment working in extremely cold areas, pay attention to replace it with special coolant. The replacement cycle of coolant is generally two years or 2000 hours, whichever comes first, please replenish the same type of coolant in time when it is missing.
3.Warm Breeze
When the temperature drops, the driver needs to turn on the warm air, and some models need to open the ball valve switch of the warm air water pipe, and the hot water enters the evaporator to warm the cab. When there is no warm air, check that the two water pipe ball valves (inlet and return pipes) are open.
5.Preheat engine
In a low temperature environment, it is a very important step to warm up the engine, the engine temperature rises so that the fuel can be fully combusted, and the oil forms an effective protective film to lubricate the motion pairs and superchargers. Generally, preheat for 3~5 minutes, start low-load work, and wait for the coolant to reach the best temperature, and then carry out heavy-load work. Try to avoid multiple starts and long starts in the cold state: multiple starts will exacerbate the wear of moving parts and reduce the service life of the parts and the engine.
